Organizations should lock administrative settings and prevent one user from installing software for everyone. At the same time, accessibility features such as larger text, screen reading, and alternative keyboards should remain available within the temporary profile.
Staff need a simple status screen showing whether the last reset completed successfully. A tablet that failed to clear should be removed from service until checked rather than passed to the next visitor with a verbal assurance.
Shared access should not require shared privacy. Automatic profile reset makes the device behave like a clean workspace instead of a container for traces left by strangers. That basic protection helps public technology remain useful without turning convenience into accidental disclosure.
Regular audits should test the reset with real accounts rather than assuming the feature works because a settings screen says it is enabled.
