China Tourism
The sustainable development of China’s economy, advance implementation of the Reform and Opening-up Policy, and significant growth in the personal income of the people, commercial organization of the country has viewed exceptional in modern years. The huge outbound market has drawn awareness of the world. The domestic market is becoming more extensive constantly. However, the inbound market is in a decline in activity.
As a significant feature of the tourist market of China, the domestic market benefits a lot from the large population. In the recent decades, domestic tourism significantly increases the employment, consumption and economic development of the country. At the present time, the most well-known destinations for domestic tourists are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Guilin, Hangzhou, Sanya, Lhasa, Chengdu, Lijiang, Hong Kong, and Macau. The number of visitors increases rapidly to remarkable quantity during the peak seasons especially during the National Day Holiday and Spring Festival. This may be the root of traffic congestion and poor quality of tourist service.
The World Tourism Organization anticipates that China will be the largest travel destination and the fourth biggest source country in year 2020. During that year, there will be 137.10 million foreign travellers that will visit the country, taking up 8.6% of the global share and one hundred million outbound Chinese visitors.
